Eric Glustrom: The founder and Executive Director of Educate!, Eric spent a month in two refugee camps in Uganda filming a documentary about the condition of refugees. During his time in Uganda, Eric met several refugees of his age, 17, that did not have the means to pay for their education. Realizing that an education was the only way for these refugees to break free from the suffering they experienced, Eric decided to help. He founded Educate! soon after he returned home. He graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado in May of 2003, where he was captain of the tennis team. He graduated in May 2007 from Amherst College, where he majored in Neuroscience and ran on the track team.

Eric has put a lot into Educate! since its founding, spending countless hours working on its development. Some of that effort paid off in April of 2005 when Educate! got 501(c)3 legal non-profit status. In the summer of 2004, Eric fundraised by climbing 14,000 foot mountains in the Colorado Rockies. He climbed fourteen of these "14ers" and raised several thousand dollars through the project. This summer, Eric lead a group of 4 other Amherst College students on a trip to Uganda and Rwanda, where they checked up on Educate! students, searched for new students, and looked for more projects for Educate! to undertake. Eric continues working day and night on Educate!
